I'll stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning substantial paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old forecast a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is really going ahead.
