Combatants chuckle as they ride on the bed of a pick-up truck, racing past a row of nine dead bodies and heading facing the descending Sudanese evening sky.

"See all this work. See this instance of ethnic cleansing," a fighter shouts.

The combatants are rejoicing over a atrocity that relief organizations fear killed over two thousand individuals in the Sudanese urban center of al-Fashir during October.

A City Isolated from the World

After maintaining the community under encirclement for approximately two years, from the summer the militia proceeded to consolidate its position and restrict the remaining inhabitants.

Space-based imagery show that fighters commenced to construct a massive sand wall - a built-up dirt embankment - around the edges of the city, blocking access routes and preventing humanitarian assistance.

As the siege escalated, 78 people were killed in an paramilitary assault on a religious building on September 19th, while the UN stated fifty-three more were killed in drone and heavy weapon attacks on a refugee settlement in the autumn.

Graphic Footage Reveals Weaponless People Gunned Down

By sunrise on October 26th the RSF defeated the final military positions and seized the central headquarters in the community, the headquarters of the Army Division, as the army withdrew.

Among the most graphic recordings to emerge and examined showed the consequences of a mass killing at a campus structure on the west of the city, where dozens corpses were observed spread throughout the ground.

Regardless of the social media initiative being used by the RSF, their conduct in al-Fashir have provoked worldwide condemnation.
