The streaming service revealed Tuesday that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece season 3 cast and will portray Bon Clay. The role possesses the power to morph into an perfect replica of anyone they’ve made contact with with their right hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and prefers they/them pronouns, will portray a rendition of that figure reinterpreted as gender non-binary, instead of as a drag artist, in the live-action series, unlike the original manga and cartoon version.
